a blind date with literature

A Blind Date With Literature was a literary festival designed to bring readers in Abuja together for an easy, social afternoon around books.

The event featured a mix of activities that allowed people to interact with literature in different ways. There were literary games, beautifully wrapped books selected for guests to discover without knowing the titles beforehand, and a range of vendors offering food and drinks throughout the day.

Guests could also spend time at interactive stations, including calligraphy, candle making, and jewelry making, alongside a mocktail stand and other book-inspired items. The space was set up to feel open and engaging, giving people the chance to move around, try different things, and connect with others naturally.

A night in the pages

A Night In The Pages was a literary dinner designed as a more structured, evening experience centered around books and conversation.

The event brought people together over a three-course meal, with each part of the night built around shared discussions and a calm, social atmosphere. Books were gifted to guests, and there were dedicated spaces for quieter activities like letter writing, alongside a Polaroid station where people could capture moments from the evening.

The setting encouraged conversations, allowing guests to engage at their own pace while still feeling part of a shared experience. The aim was to create a more intentional environment where reading and conversation could sit side by side in a relaxed, well-curated space.

high teas and Maxis

High Teas and Maxis was a daytime literary gathering built around conversation, light activities, and a relaxed setting. The event combined books, tea, pastries, and simple games, giving people time to talk, share recommendations, and enjoy being around others with similar interests. The atmosphere was casual and unstructured, making it easy for guests to settle in, join conversations, or just take things in at their own pace.

It was less about event programming and more about creating a comfortable space where people could connect through books without pressure or strictness.
